Probably insecurity or you threaten him/her in some way. That's a very uncomfortable situation. I'm glad my bosses aren't like that.

Not knowing you or your boss it is hard to say but....
I think most people that 'mock' other people either are jealous of the impact that person is having on the group; or they are threatened by the impact that the person has on the group.
If you were actually doing something wrong I am sure your boss would point that out.
Since he/she tries to 'mock' your actions or words it looks like they are trying to make you look like less of a leader and them as more of a leader.
In any case if it were me and I wanted to keep my job I would (in private) have a talk with the boss and find out in a non-confrontational way what can be done to improve the work atmosphere.
Good Luck.

It sounds like you, in effect, have been given "notice". Seek another job within the company or on the outside. Generally a boss would not pick out one person and mock them for no reason.

If you feel it's creating a hostile work environment for you, report it to the next authority above your boss and let them know you will be reporting it to corporate or HR. And the also inform your "boss" after you have reported that you made a complaint, maybe this will shut his/her mouth.
I'm a supervisor and I like to chit-chat/joke around with my fellow co-worker, but I'm never dis-respectful to them.

He feels really crummy about himself so he treats others badly. I'm sorry you have to put up with him to earn a living, I'm sure you do not deserve it. Watch or read The Devil Wears Prada. Your experience with this boss may teach you how to be an excellent boss. Hang in there!

It sounds like you have a very immature and unprofessional boss. I would go to his or her manager and have a professional but candid talk with them and ask for their advice on handling this situation. Maybe they can offer a solution or will be pushed into talking to your boss on their own without mentioning your name. You could ask that you know. Good luck.

Low self esteem or self worth. They are trying to make themselves look better by putting you down. I had a boss like this. He was a short man. I told him, in front of everyone, "Will, I don't like it when you yell at me. However, I realize this makes you feel better about yourself and I want you to feel good about yourself, so I am willing to put up with it." He never did it again.

With great power comes great responsibility. Clearly the power has corrupted him. It's easy for you to laugh at your littler siblings when they have an idea that you think they are incapable of, while to them it seems quite valid. It's very similar here.

I can only assume that your boss is a male if it is it is only typical of a male as their hormones seem to dictate their behaviour.

He or she needs to be put in their place. Go to the top of the company and talk with their superior.
