I hate hearing about all kinds of religions and how they are all right, and all the stupid people who hate you for not believing in their religion. It seems that not one can be completely accurate. Does anyone have a good explanation?

Everyone wants to have an explanation. And different religions came about through different means and times.

The Christian religion developed differently than the Jewish and Roman religions. Even then, Christianity branched out because leaders wanted to abuse the religion for their own use.

The beauty about religion is that you can make a claim, and it can't be disproven. Even if you do prove it (such as disproving the claim in the Bible that your prayer will be answered), the religion will make excuses to dismiss the evidence. It's very clever wordplay and psychological warfare.

Which religion is right? I figure if any of them are right, then God (or whoever) would tell us. It's an important thing, after all. But so far, God has not come down to tell us all which religion is correct. The fact that there are different religions proves that those religions are wrong.

Or, to quote Buffalo Springfield, "Nobody's right if everybody's wrong."

Edit: Tony the Tiger, your "proof" lost all credibility as soon as it claimed that ancient people believed the world was flat. The Greeks had already figured out it was round. If you start with a false assumption, then you can "prove" anything.

Everyone has a right to choose the religion that they feel is accurate. How do you tell someone what is right or wrong, especially if they've been raised to believe in a specific religion.
I am Christian and hating on another religion just because they don't believe in mine is ignorant. I believe as long as you treat people good and live by descent morals, we're all be alright. Nobody's perfect.

The Truth is bigger than all of us. There are bits of the truth in all religions and bits that are mistaken ideas. If we come together like people with a piece of a puzzle, we can get a better understanding of Truth when we put all of the pieces together. This requires us to be open minded enough to say that maybe we might be wrong about something and maybe someone else might be right. It requires a high level of emotional development that the majority of people do not have, but many of their religious leaders do have, so there is some hope.

If your in college, or if you go to college, take religion and psychology. it's interesting class. No religion is right or wrong. It's about what you want to believe. Have an open mind. Learn about different religions. and most religion or even all, are about for the good. just be a good loving person and you'll do fine.

No one can be 100% accurate because this is faith not proof. But also it is human nature to want to be correct in a disagreement so without proof we humans are forced to disagree and even then most of us cannot agree to disagree.

So which religion is right, simple, they all are, including the belief to not believe. As far as I am concerned it isn't a matter of what faith is right but what faith is right for the individual. I would much rather see all the faiths agreeing to get along together than to see one faith proven right. Everyone should and must be allowed to find their own path, even if their path is not to take a path.

You have answered your own question in a way. God is not into religion at all he is into relationship. Rightiousness,
(right standing with God).
Many religions will tell you to follow us, Jesus Christ said follow me. Unlike many other figuares from history. Jesus said if they have done these things to me how much greater will you suffer. Does not sound like a lier to me. He declared that hsi followers would suffer and they did. Now does that sound like a religious guy to you. You hear today preachers they will tell you now once you get saved everything will be ok not more problem. They are liers Jesus never said that he said you indeed will suffer. The reason i am point that out is that the life of a real christians is build on all kinds of suffering just as the prophets suffered and as christ suffered. You will see people that are just here hanging out some mean no harm other mean great harm many are religious. The religious man looks holy but upon closer examination you will find he is full of lies and deception. Having nothing to give you which resembles the truth. There are many cult members on the net beware least you recieve there reward. And there are actually a few servants that are on the net. I am a servant. I know God and have from my youth. But i am not religious. Jesus was not religious either. I follow Jesus. The reason these poeple fight is because they are ruled by the flesh. And not by the spirit of Grace. I know what you are saying i am posting hard questions to the members of different cults. They are always wanting to fight i am pointing to christ and only asking a question. I do not care what chruch you are going to i just want to point you to Christ he does not need a chruch to heal you or to talk to you or to touch you. He does work thru church bodies at times but he does not work with in sin. So The right religion is the one with the Lord Jesus Christ as you one Lord and your one Salvaiton. If you have a bible there start at matthew and read the four gosples you do not need a man to interduce you to Jesus. He gave you his book. You will notice i did not tell you which church to join. If you want to learn the word of God which i advise go to a baptist church for 2 years and got o sunday school. Then if you wan to lean about faith go to a penacostal church for 2 years. These many churchs out here are schools we learn in i have found God in most of them. Stay away from catholic roman catholic JWs and mormons they are cults.

Religion is the same as everything else. The world can't decide on what the best food is! Especially over years and years of time. Know what I mean? Some people choose religion because thats what their parents believed, some because it caters to them especially well, some because they don't know anything else, and some because thats what they truly believe. With all of those options in mind, and considering how different people are, how can you expect 6 billion people to choose what's right together?

In the end, its "faith". Crappiest excuse in the book, but unfortunately true. You gotta go with your knowledge, and your guts, and I guess your heart, to decide whats right.

there is no right religion. Religion per say is man's interpetation of the Bible. The is only ONE true one and that is you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior you will be saved. It's a relationship with our Lord, not religion. Many people interpret the Bible to say things they believe it to say but that isn't always right and they take alot of context by not reading the verses before and after to get the true meaning of the verse. The relationship with our Lord is more important than the religions.

The left one.

Actually, I'd say agnosticism is right: you can't KNOW the truth (though the conclusion is arrived at in some form of artificial manner, wherein we say "Well, if something exists that defies logic, then it's possible that all logical conclusions are subject to being untrue due to this entity, therefore we can conclude nothing" which leaves us with "I have no idea, aka Agnosticism). But agnosticism is really more of a logical philosophy than a religion.

Everybody likes to think they're more right than everybody else.
That's how people are.

The major religions all teach some form of the Golden Rule:
"Don't do onto others what you don't want them to do onto you"
or "Treat others as you'd like to be treated".

My opinion, for what it's worth, is that the Golden Rule is the most important lesson any religion teaches and if we live by the Golden Rule it doesn't matter much if we're Christian or Jewish or Muslim or Hindu.
