No! If you love someone and marry them, does that give you the right to cheat on them because you already "sealed the deal"?

People have asked this question ever since Jesus died...read Romans 6:1-2..."What shall we say, than? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" Verse 4 says that we were buried with Christ so that, just as He was raised from the dead, we would also "live a new life" free of sin.

What this means is that faith in Christ does forgive us of all our sins...even those we have yet to commit...but it also means that we were saved unto (or to do) good works, as the book of James says. If we do not have the spiritual fruit of good works, a life that is becoming conformed to Christ and sinning less and less - not more and more - then we must question our salvation. If we are truly saved, then we are changed inside by God's Spirit, and we will desire to please Him, not our sinful nature anymore.

The idea that we can sin all we want with no consequences is called "antinomianism," and it goes against what the Bible teaches. See http://www.gotquestions.org/antinomianism.html for more information.

Jesus died for the sins of man to reconcile the separation of man from God. Jesus did not die so that we are free to sin, for we are all sinners (Romans 3:23). We must do 4 things.
Admit we are a sinner
Repent and turn away from our sins.
Believe that Jesus died for our sins, to save us from continuing in them and perishing. (John 3:16)
Receive Jesus into your heart and life. To be free of the sins and temptation that would damn you again.
It is very disturbing that some people believe that they can go on sinning and that God has to forgive them. This is simply not the truth. God is merciful and forgiving, but this mercy is reserved for repentant sinners, those that repent and discontinue sinning.

Jesus didn't die on the cross just for Christians, he died for all of humanity. There is no given number for how many times you can sin, but I do know as a Christian that you will have to ask for forgiveness and be truely sorry for your sins.

A Christian who loves God will try NOT to sin...Not use Jesus's death as an excuse to sin.
NO, a Christian may not sin all he/she wants. We are to turn from our sins and sin no more. Love God and love our neighbor. Jesus died for your sins, so that you might be saved. Not so we can keep on sinning.

Hi tatwastough. If a person believes he can have all the sin he wants just because he is a Christian, there is a good chance that person is not a true Christian to begin with. God tells us very clearly that once we are baptized in the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ we are slaves of sin no longer we become slaves of God and have a desire to do His will. In Romans 6:15-18 God tells us:

"What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness."

According to the best selling book of all time, Adam and Eve would have lived for-ever, but disobeyed God's one command about that fruit tree, remeber? And that sin was passed on to all of Adam's offspring like a gene for a horrible disease called death. Jesus was the most beloved of God, and was sent as the ransom for that sin so that the dead may one day be resurrected. One who doesn't clean up their act though probably will not be resurrected on the last day. So, sure. you can sin all you want, but when you're dead, you're dead.

My first question to u is what do you mean by the word "SIN" ?
Those things doesn't exits. All of them are seldom GOD made and are constructed by men to maintain peace and harmony on the society, using FEAR as the weapon.

Jesus, Allah or Bhagwaan whatever it is, the supreme power has lot's of jobs to do in the Infinite Universe, instead of digging his head after every individiuals.

The difference between goods and bad occurs right from your inner judgements of the pure heart. .
U can be a sinner if ur inner heart says that it is the right way, but remember if something goes wrong in ur calculations then u could end up like SADDAM.........

The Bible says for ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. It means we are all less than God's perfection. It also says that if we ask for forgiveness of our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. God can forgive us all Christian and non-Christian. I am a Christian and I do sin...I try not to..but God understands I am not perfect..and is merciful and full of grace. I don't believe we should keep doing the same sin over and over. But the Bible (God) does say that we should forgive 70x7. I hope this helps a little.

Jesus died for EVERYONE'S sins, and NO, they can't sin all they want, but they DO! Everyone commits sin ALL the time, I'm afraid! The devil's temptations are far more appealing than the bible!
I'll bet you 10 to 1, there are more sinners out there, than that of those who are devoted bible-thumpers!!

Everyone's going to Hell!

No....Ephesians and 1 Peter are pretty clear on that.

"Should we go on sinning so that grace may bound? Absolutely not!" Ephesians forget the chapter ( I think 3)

"From now on, you must live your life by G=-d's will and not by human desires" 1 Peter 4:2

Many of us fall into sin and we must do what we did at the beginning of our walk...repent and confess sins to Him. But thats like staying an infant forever in the walk. We are to grow up and reject the sinful nature of our flesh. As we grow, the spirit will reveal more and more about how to walk in that way.

Blessings
David
