No, bar soap is not self cleaning. Bacteria and such CAN survive on the surface of a bar of soap.

yes it carries the bacteria from the previous user so ve careful i use a soap wash instead of a soap bar i feel more safe that way. xj ;)

well, there is no reason to be sharing your bar of soap with anyone other than your family...? do you think anyone in your family has a virus?

I would think soap is self cleaning?
But I do not use soap- I use the dove liquid soap.
and if you are unsure about sharing soap- just get the liquid kind!

I live alone and I won't use bar soap-too many creepy crawlies can grow there.
