I was friends with this guy for a while, but we started having feelings for each other. We decided to try to be together but the relationship was short but intense. Both of us were not in a good place to stay in a committed relationship, so we decided to end it. We didn't talk for 2-3 years. Recently I spent some time with him, but all he could do is joke around and not acting "normal". Do you think once you get involved or have feeling for someone that there is no going back no matter how much time passes?

I miss his friendship. Why is he acting this way?

There really is no eraceing the past, but that doesnt mean that it has to rule your relationship with him. If he starts acting too wierd the best thing to do is clear the air and make sure you are both on the same page.

It's not about going back, you can't erase what has happened. It's all about what you've learned from it and how to never make that same mistake twice and proceed forward with your life.

It takes a lot of forgiving and forgeting to get back to where it once was, but it can be done.

maybe he still has feelings for you. if that's the case then until he can deal with it, you won't be able to go back to how you were before you dated.
