I have 13 cats and 1 kitten of which four are indoor only, the rest are both. Several of my cats come to you and meow when they need out. We used to have a cat door, but had to take it out when our dogs went through it and broke it.. The dogs are 40 and 70 pounds. If only my dogs let me know like they do. I'm just curious to see how many of us are experiencing this.

One of our cats goes to the door and meows, then begins banging on the door knob if we don't let him out right away.

Yes my cat, as well as my mom's cats, will meow and lead out to the door if they want out. My dog just sits and barks at me.

i had a cat for 7 years, that never once used a litter box. he would (this was soo cute) tap my arm to let me know when he needed to go outside. i miss him soo much! (i hate to say this) but i had to have him put to sleep after he got hit by a car. when i would leave for work, he wanted to be outside all day, and when i would come home, he would be waiting for me at the end of the driveway. it was like he knew what time i was coming home. he was a very adventerous cat, and the indoor life would have been miserable for him. keep track of your cats while they are outside, know where they like to go, and if they are gone longer than usual, a good shake of the cat treat container always had my cat come running (if he was close by). sounds like you have a zoo! arent animals the best?

some cats will come once you try this. i've got observed that the cats that are probably to do it are those that are very talkative first of all. it somewhat is like having a verbal substitute with them.

Yes, my grandmothers cat will wake her up and then lead her to whatever door he wants to go through. Some mornings he wants to go outside, other mornings he wants to go upstairs. She's a sucker and gets up whenever he wakes her up.

my cat jiglles the car keys, and sometimes she'll knock the phone over, other than that she sometimes pees in my sneaker
