I have brown hair and I use Semi Perm hair color. If I leave it on for less time than the directions reccommend will it come out lighter? When I do my hair it starts out too dark. I'm looking for the Happy Medium!

My question is though...If I were to leave it on for 10 minutes instead of the recommended 20 would it turn out a little lighter? My ends especially get too dark for my liking.

Try using a lighter dye in your hair,, maybe two shades lighter to begain with & when it sets it wont be sooo, dark.

Go to your hairdresser and tell her what you want but make sure you get the kind that goes away after a certain amount of washes that way if u don't like it, it will wash out and then you go back and do a different color then if you want get it permanently.
