Nish is right, the answer is no.
There is a length requirement, though (I'm not sure what). I think it's 12 inches.
Most barbers know.

No. It just has to be a certain length. Very long though...down to the middle of your back (or lower) I believe.
I wanted to donate my hair that was about two inches past my shoulders and they still wouldn't except it.

I have no hair - on my head. I doubt that my other hair would be acceptable. I suppose I could try layering it ....
