I was puttin' on some hairspray to see how I was goin' to fix my hair tomorrow because we're goin' to my nana's for a family meet. I went to spray some on my hair and I sprayed some on my finger and it burned! Why is this???

I got this stuff for Christmas, the person who I recieved it from said it was VERY exspensive so it couldn't be because it was cheap.

The hairspray has alcohol in it. Your finger probably had a cut in it, or else you sprayed the hairspray underneath the cuticle or on a recently cut cuticle. The alcohol in the hairspray would sting raw skin.

SINCE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CUTS, I WOULD SAY IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN BE ALLERGIC TO IT. OR IT COULD BE THE HARSH CHEMICALS THAT MANY HAIRSPRAY BOTTLES HAVE IS THEM.
But if you sprayed it on your hair and your scalp didn't burn then It could be if you wear artificial nails, or fingernail polish, the chemicals mixed together may cause a reaction such as a burning sensation.

The air pressure. That happened to me on Hallowe'en. Ouch.

because it has alcohol and alot of other chemicals in it just look at the back of the bottle
