No i don't think so....The vehicles are made for the customer to buy, drive and enjoy there self. So in my opinion what your asking would be based on millions of people answers. Because i think that if you like it. Buy it and drive it.
Because as with other makes and models there is always going to be people out there that doesn't like, hates, discriminate, and puts down on any make and model.
So for some people yes the Edge is and embarrassment to ford, and them for others, no its not

Haven't seen the car first hand so I can't really say if the car is an embarrassment for Ford, but the commercials are.

I'm a ford salesman, I went on a "ride and drive" i drove the edge, murano, and CX7. those are the main competitors, and it whooped the other two. It makes the murano look and feel outdated inside and out. Its fast comfortable, reasonably priced and a lot of class exclusive features. the CX7 is a turbo 4 cylinder, in a CUV thats embarassing. edge embarassment, how so?

After the Edsel, I don't think Ford could possibly embarrass themselves like that again! I like the Edsel myself, but back then, it was one of the worst mistakes they ever made.
