I have ADD and sure the meds help but I need something else.

The best way to stay focused with ADD is to develop OCD.

Then you can be focused on the same thing over and over and over and over.

try setting a goal, you have a bf or something like that? if your doing school work, be like the sooner i get this done i get to see him. set up a reward type system. it sounds kinda goofy but hey its worth a shot.

sometimes if you listen to music you really like and know the words to first, you sing the entire lyric and youre brain will know how focused you can be. (it really works) then you try to focus on your...ehh category? or whatever

perhaps a white noise would do well for you? try putting on a fan that makes a buzzing noise or something like that. but it has to be quiet and consistent.

you have to take it to WILL POWER... okay... so ADD is a disorder... but i have it too... and i've noticed... it happens when i don't care... i go off into space... and go on with my life... but i began to fail in school, and needed to do something.... and so i took it on will power.. i started to force myself to concentrate and when it became too much where i needed to space out... i would take a deep breath close my eyes and kinda restart and listen.... evne shake your head... it helps me... it could help yyou

just remember what your goal is, keep as few distractions around you as possible, and think about the consequences if you don't follow through.

i have add to and my adderall works fine for me. maybe you need a higher dosage.
