With time and patience.

--Do some sort of exercise each night. I ran 12 minutes each night, did pilates a few times a week, and I went from a size 16 to a size 12 in 3 months. It may not sound like much, but I went from 37" waist to a 30" waist. Then I had a baby.

--Don't diet or count calories. Eat in moderation, eat well, enjoy your food but know when to stop, drink a lot of water, and don't spend time worrying about your food! As long as you stop when you're full, you're going to be fine.

--Don't expect immediate results. These things are fast. Work out and weigh yourself each week (remembering that muscle weighs more than fat), measure yourself (chest, waist, hips, thigh, and calf) monthly, and write down what you eat--not to count calories but to just be aware of your eating habits.

--Set a realistic goal. Want to be in a size 16 by April? Go for it and when you reach if you get to buy a new shirt or a new pair of shoes. Don't little and work your way up!

I am trying to do the same thing and here's the plan I worked out. I am eating healthy (no junk goes into THIS body anymore) and drinking lots of water. I have started exercising at least three hours a week. Use the weight room at your school or walk up and down the stairs in your house or run in your neighborhood, just make sure you keep it up regularly. My goal is to lose 5 pounds a month during 2007. It will be slow going, but it will also be healthy going. I weigh 226 pounds right now, and if I keep myself on track, I will weigh about 170 next December and be back into that size 12 I wore when I was a freshman in high school. You have to keep yourself well and change the way you live your life if you're serious about being healthy, but if you're like me, you value yourself enough to make it happen!

i ate every few hours, making it about 6 small meals a day. meals consisted of some green veggies (about a cup) and a few ounces of chicken, turkey burger, or fish. it's bland, but with walking/running at least 30 min a day & this diet, i lost 50 lbs in 6 months. went from a size 9/11 to a 3/5. Basically, exercise everyday & cut carbs & sugar. Only water, protein, and veggies.

As someone else said fast and healthy don't go hand in hand. I would suggest you examine what you are doing now... are you eating a lot of fatty processed foods? do you exercise? Try limiting your portions to fist sized amounts, eating more vegetables, and exercising, its much easier and healthier to improve these areas then trying to find a quick fix.

If you have tried everything and must fit into that prom dress...there are some excellent ways to loose weight quickly but they require absolute dedication, I would suggest Atkins style programs, or master cleanse.

a sensible diet rich in fresh veggies and salads to provide bulk, and small portions of meat. large salads, with little or no dressing, provides high intake, but little caloric value since they are mainly water. the bulk will fill the stomach while still satisfying the hunger craving. small portions of meat provide protein, while the vegatables provide vitamins and minerals. small meals several times each day are better than three large meals. you feel filled, but are actually eating less.
add some regular execise and the loss of weight will be slow but steady as well as better for you. just don't crash diet. they don't work, and when you lose the weight, you gain it right back, and usually add some to it.

. The quickest way would be planning healthy meals. Watching your diet, cutting back on foods that contains a lot of fats, sweets and sodium. I actually did lose my weight by eating smaller portions, eating a lot of fruits and vegetable. I also tried eating a well- balanced diet.
Try the smaller portions.

The most common way is to eat less and exercise more, but make sure you watch what you eat. Cut out all soda and fast food and be sure to limit your carbs. As far as exercise a brisk walk no shorter the 20min every other day will help alot.
Good luck, i know losing weight is hard but you can do it!

cut out sugar white refined foods, breads. stick to protein salads, meat, eat all the meat you want just no bread. dring 60 oz. water a day. eat oranges to counter the dizziness that you can go through withdrawing from carbs. wheat bread is ok and brown rice too!
