I don't know if you mean the type of cable or the manufacture, but Monster Cable is supposed to make really, really good cables--solid gold connectors and all that stuff. They aren't cheap, but a guitarist I know swears by their instrument cables and says they're guaranteed for life. I know they make video cables too, so I would check it out.

Last poster is correct, except I think composite is better than s-video, but if its a digital signal, dont waste your money on over priced monster cables. Check out these links.

most cable boxes don't have a lot of options... but if it has an S-Video or Component Video connection, use that and not the coaxial cable connection.
