Why do men ask for your number and then never calls you? I mean not even calls you once, whn given the phone number?

yes men asks u ur fone numbers.. if they didnot call back after taking tht fone number.. tht means they didnot like u for any reason. then u may ask me " why should he took my fone number.?" this theory is simple. let us suppose u dont like a fruit "banana". but in ur house there is nothing to eat.. so wht u will do..? even though u dont like banana .. u will have a hand at tht one ,, means u will keep this banana as reserve when u had no other choice to eat. imagine at tht same time ur mom came from her friends home and brought aples which u like most... then u will throw ur banana out of ur hand..u will never look at its face.. remember when any time in future u again didnot get apples.. then u will think abt thrown banana...!!!!

It's been a long time since I've been a part of the dating scene, so these are merely guesses.
1. Your phone number was the consolation prize and he found another girl who was a little more "loose" that night (does saying "loose" make me sound old?).
2. Those phone calls you've been getting where there's nobody on the other end? That's him building up the nerve to dial the number, only to hang up and vomit as soon as you pick up.
3. He had too much to drink before writing down your number and the next morning found a peice of paper in his pocket that read: 555-&*%^
4. It was only a trophy, and he never had any intentions to follow up.
There may be plenty of other reasons, but I'm tapped.

I guess it's the same reason why women give their phone numbers to men who they do not intend to date.
Have you considered that they might have LOST your phone number? Or maybe they didn't write down your name by the number, and don't want to call the wrong person? Good night!

He's just not that into you ... sorry but that's as simple as it gets .... guys may ask for a number for a variety of reasons i.e. to see if they can get it, boost their ego, it's a competition between guys, he thought he liked you then changed his mind, he didn't like you but didn't want to hurt your feelings .. blah blah blah, only the individual guy knows for sure ... but the bottom line is if he has the number and doesn't use it, he's not interested. Don't waste your time or energy worrying about honey 'cause the only one it's negatively impacting on is you ... you're better off looking for the one who wants your number and can't wait to use it!

It could mean that he's really shy and trying to decide what to say when he calls you, asks several girls for their numbers and hasn't gotten to yours yet to call (he's a player), or just did it out of friendliness so he'll call you when he needs something like work info or school...

its challenging for guys to get a girls phone numbers. its a game we play. don't matter if he likes the girl or not. i guess he just want to know if you really want to get to know him. once you give him a phone number he knows he got you and that's all the satisfaction he needs. i m sure girls do the same.
