It is the size of a grain of rice, has a white middle section with black horizontal stripes. It's head is pointy and dark red and its end part is the same shape but black. I find these bugs in my infant daughters crib. Any ideas what this is, how I can get rid of them or where I can find out about bugs?

It might be jerusalem crickets, earwigs, or bedbugs. I attached a link to jerusalem cricket photos on bugguide, which is a great site with lost of photos. You can start browsing there--just pick a silhouette that looks like what you have and go until you get a match.
Alternatively you could take one to your local ag department or cooperative extension. They'll be able to tell you what it is and how (and whether) you should get rid of it.

Omigod! I have no idea what that bug could be, but I say have an exterminator come and fumigate, then burn the crib and have the carpet shampooed and start over from scratch.

Sorry, I know this doesn't help much but you've got to think of the health of your baby.

I woulkd need to know what area of the US you are in, but the striped midsection makes me think of a certain roach- Brownbanded Cockroach- but this is only around Virginia. Where are you?

Take the bug and the baby to the doctor. What if they are coming out of an orifice of hers. That is just nasty.

Run for your life. It's the dreaded striped stinger. It needs the blood of infant girls to breed.
