A dear friend of mine once told me something her Mother passed along when she (my friend) was going through a divorce . . .
"I have and will always love your Father, but I have fallen in love with many."
She was married and faithful, but that didn't mean she did not have feelings for others. She simply didn't act on those feelings in any way that was untoward.
We are all human. "True love" exists, I believe. . .but the question is. . .is there more than one for us all?
An expiration date? People grow (we hope) it all depends on which direction. . .together or apart.

I think that true love does exist because you hear of people that were high school sweet-hearts growing up and getting married and then dying together...Some relationships do have an expiration date, some are until the day that they die, some are sooner, you just have to trust you guts on how long the relationship will last.

This sounds like something Sarah Jessica Parker would be asking on "Sex in the City." I'm going to be optimistic here and say that I do believe true love exists. I think the bad relationships have expiration dates on them. They have to end sometime to make time for the real thing.

Yes true love exists. Relationships only have expiration dates when you give up on them. It's called commitment! When you are committed, you stick around for what you think could be the end, but because you stick around and work at it, it gets good again.

I think there can be a few "true loves" in the world for you and all of us. And I don't think all relationships have expiration dates. Things happen, times change, people change, and feelings sometimes change. But I do think there are a lot of other people out there for us, one or many, and all we have to do is be open to meeting one.

I believe that true love exists I just believe that people get it confused with lust....a lot of people dont know what true love is. It takes a lot of work, trust, understanding and patience. I think that people just like things that come easy to them or either want to be with somebody that is real hot and dont look at the compatibility level....its a lot more to a relationship than looks or money or what that person can give you.

Good question - a food for thought!

Yeah, I understand what you mean; we see break-ups, divorce, everywhere. Hence, we are bound to think that there is no relationship in this world that will be able to exist.

But, fortunately, this is not the case, alright? True love does exist. It does exist. It is just a matter of whether you can differentiate love and lust (physics attraction). True love looks at internal beauty, unlike lusts.

So, yeah, true love exists.

Sure all relationships have expiration dates ... some are just longer than others

As for my true love ... not sure, ask me in 40 years or so from now ...

I wouldn't say ALL relationships expire, just the ones that should. True love is a pretty absolute term. I believe in the "multiple soulmate" theory; just like you have more than 1 friend, you can have more than one true love.

I hope there is true love unfortantly people grow and change so rapidly in todays earn/spend/throw away society. I have been releshonship for four years and still love the guy but don't see us being to gether much longer. But i will love him forever. I do know of couples though that have been together for decades just need to be one of the lucky ones
