We need A VA Hopital in McAllen Texas?

There are too many ill veteran that have served this country for nothing. It's sad, but alot of people don't want to speak up. We have a small Va clinic. Too many ill veterans that served in the wars and all the other veterans come to our small va clinic the lines are long for walkins if you have an emergency. Alot of people are not aware that we are being denied care. The nearest hospital is in San antonio about a 6 hour drive that is a long uncomfortable transportation.Please send this message to your friends write to our state congressman, the more people that write perhaps we might be Able to get a very much needed VAHospital in the Valley
If We don't write we won't be heard. Also the promise that the military insurance promises to pay their share are not being met. Stop worrying about illegals crossing the border and let do the right thing. Remember if you don't write you won't be heard thank you

You are right. I used to live in east texas, san antonio is way to far to drive. I know there is a base in witchata falls, sheppard. I have not been there, so I do not know if they have one there.

I visit 3 VA hospitals regularly. One in my hometown. One in Danville, IL, which is 80 miles away. One in Indianapolis, IN., which is 152 miles away. Lines are getting longer in all of them. I have never been refused my treatments or medicine from the VA and I have one medicine that cost $2400 a month. I think they could have more branches of mini VA clinics or as the gentleman said before me. Reimburse the local doctor for services rendered.

Let me thank you for your service. There is no easy answer to your needs, my father-in-law had to fly from SW South Dakota to Minnapolis to get the VA treatment he needed, so I am well aware of your needs. I wish that hospitals other than VA facilities could provide the same services and be reimbursed by the Govt. Thank you again.
