I agree with you killing Saddam Hussein wont bring back all those people he killed and yes I do agree that it would be better to have let him suffer by keeping alive and locked up in a very high security prison and die a very lonely death where he would suffer pain and humiliation.
Personally I am against executions and find it hard to believe that such a highly developed nation would still condone such a thing as it has been proven that a lot of innocent people have lost their lives due to the judge and jury comming up with the wrong verdict.
I feel that by killing him in God's eyes we would be just as bad as him.
However unfortunatly God is not present on earth in a physical sense and that is why we rely on the law and the people who reinforce the law to make the right decisions by the innocent cervillians it is supposed to protect and the criminal it is supposed to punish.

Scripture deals with this issue in the book of Romans. God has put governments in authority and we are told to submit to their authority. If we do not, God say we should fear their "sword". A sword was a weapon used to take the life of another. So I believe that God allows governments to use capital punishment IF THEY CHOOSE.
Rom 13:1-5
13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.

Killing Saddam Hussein will not bring back those who he killed, but it will keep him from killing anyone else. Also, I think it probably would be okay to God because in the ancient times in Israel (according to the Bible), somebody who commits murder would be stoned to death.

God is the only one worthy of judgement and asks that all who kill be sent to Him.
There Saddam will have to answer one final time without prejudice in the face all he caused to die .
Praise the Lord
Mercy to man

I am not totally up-to-date on my Bible verses but I think it says in there somewhere " an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth..." So I say he derserved to die but it won't help bring back all the one's lost on 9-11 or the one's being killed in the war in Iraq! He played God by killing thousands of people s so we returned the favor!

No... I think it's great that he was put to death.
The people of Iraq can now sleep easy. Never having to worry that he will escape or come back to power. Being freed by his minions. He is gone, and that is a good thing.
Nice try though. You Liberals are something else. When are you going to just wake the hell up?

5All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
6God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you
7and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
8He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power
10on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

Hopefully so that more servile disgusting scum of the Earth like him take a good long look at his corpse and realize that civilized beings do not want primordial slime like him running society.
I cannot imagine any God that would want someone like him who murdered his own people and raped amd tortured children for his own pleasure into his heaven. Any God that could forgive a disgusting depraved animal like him I want no parts of.

I agree. I always thought that life in prison without chance of parole (and giving tedious and difficult tasks everyday while you're at it) is a worse punishment than just letting the guy die and "sleep peacefully" forever. (I don't believe in Heaven or Hell.)
