We do not have the right, but unfortunatly when you have a weak minded president, and the worlds most powerful military force.......you do the math.

What a hot topic.. not to mention its debatable for days. I for one am totally on the fence, living in canda it is pretty general knowledge that we dont love america... or not really america.. were okay with the people.. its your leader that is somewhat misguided. But if you dive deep into the issue there is so much backround you cant broadly answer yes or no. If there is a country where some random person comes and knocks on your door takes your wife on to the front lawn rapes her then shoots her then kicks you out of your house, then someone have to intervene to stop things liek that. We cant leave countrys that have things liek genocide happening all the time to their own devices beacsue those people are born humans liek the rest of us and they are entitled to human rights as are the rest of us. It is not your fault if you are born into a society where terrible things happen you do not choose where you are born into. The problem is we tecnically have the UN to deal with these problems and they dont do a horrible job but almost everyone is in agreement that a reform is in line for them. their budget is incredible and noone knows where it goes, and their success rate is not amazing for peace keeping either becasue of the lack of support from other countries. The UN is a greta organization in theory but all the countries need to be on the same basis for things to work. The problem is the United states is on the security souncil and is pinned and well known for its high amout of worldly power. It seems at times they are a bit cocky disregarding the thoughts and feelings of the UN which representing nearly the entirety of the countries in the world is not a very good organzation to piss off. The united states it seems works independantly unless it needs the support of the UN on its side in whice case it become a bully making them believe what they are doingin the right way. I mean after all the UN really doesnt have a lot of power right now with its need fro refrom and noone is going to challenge the US. In this way I believe that america does not have the right to invade other countries... it should be generally agreed upon and world effort for a well researched and well backed up cause. Of course on the other side again there is a problem with this as well beacseu of the time it takes and the lives that are lost in the time discussing hte options. Reacting on their own give the americans the time advantage that soem countries such as Rwanda deserve becasue of the quickness of the slaughter and masacre. As I said there are 2 very well supported sides to this question and neither is entirely right.

What are you looking for? There is no "world constitution" that defines such a thing. In the case of Iraq, Iraq had repeatedly violated UN resolutions, had fired on UN sanctioned aircraft, etc etc etc. The US was far from the only country to cross the border from Kuwait into Iraq back in 2003.
In Afghanistan the Taliban were protecting terrorist leaders that were the masterminds to the 9/11 attacks among others. The Taliban were given the opportunity to turn those people over and they declined. They could have spared themselves an invasion but instead they chose to hide the terrorists.
This is a spreading nuclear world. Would you rather wait until a nuke went off in your backyard before action was taken?

Do you realize, Julia, that if saddam were still in power, there would be many thousands more people murdered by him. Think of all the mass graves that were found. Think of all the people he has murdered and the lives he has ruined. If you want to cry for saddam, that is fine. But would you take a few moments to weep for his victims. Our president has been vilified from all sides, but I, for one, thank our Almighty God that he has taken the action he has.

If a government attacks the US we have the right to defend our selfs.
This would include our right to do things that would discourage them from continuing to attack us. (Invade their country)

IF you don't want to have us come into your country's to get the bad guys DON'T help the bad guys!! Don't aid them.
You don't like us hunting you down then be good and leave us alone!!
Blame your problems and your dead on the same people we are blaming. O.B.L. and his terrorists buddy's and anyone who has given a nickle to help them.
Americans, We are the good guys!!!
