A call outside your area. It is not quite long distance but can be pricey.

A toll call is one you pay extra for. A lot of states allow the phone company to charge extra for any call that goes over so many miles from your home. Normally you have dial the area code, but without a one in front of it; since it's not long distance. Where I live a toll call cost 25 cents no matter how long I talk.

Good Luck!

a toll call is when you have a limit on how many calls you can make on your monthly phone bill. When you make a toll call you do not have to dial 1 and the area code. Lets say you have 250 toll calls allowed each month....if you make 260 calls you will be charge a fee for the 10 calls you made over the 250 limit. If you have a teenager it is wise to get unlimited toll calls per month (lol)

Oh I love these questions from young people! It may be the best part of being an old fogey/fart!

A toll call is a "long-distance" call that, pre-cell phone and/or VoIP, actually costs a premium per minute fee more than a "local" (around town) call.

You know, this question's only justifiably asked by someone under 16 years old. LOL!!

Happy New Year!!

A toll call is a call that is kinda long distance but enough to cost you. like sometimes you will see an ad on t.v and it may say that it is "toll free" that means it wont charge you or it is in the area.

best of luck

have a happy new year

and I hope that I answered your question.

It's going to be a call that incurs per minute charges for long distance. VoIP (Voice Over IP) seeks to avoid toll charges, referred to as toll bypass.
