Like hair removal wax?
The easiest way to remove that is to just rip it off, I would think.
It's not as bad as it sounds.

baby oil or solar oil that you use on your cuticles
the oil will break down the wax. it is a pain free way to remove the wax.

You can buy a Wax-Off cream from pretty much anywhere that sells beauty supplies (even grocery stores have these).
