At four weeks, he is probably still nursing, right! If that is the case, is it possible that he is being crowded out from a nipple. If so, he just may not be getting enough to eat. Make sure you observe him nursing. If he is not nursing, four weeks is way too young to be away from his mom. Go to pet supply store and get substitute mothers milk and hand feed. Mom would stimulate his little bottom in order to encourage bm. If no mom, you will have to do it yourself. See what happens because without this stimulation, he could get very sick. Don't feed cows milk or solid food!!

If it does not have a mom to care for it, use a moist cotton ball to gently rub its bottom....for about 1 min. and that should work. It is best to try after it has eaten. It might not poop until it begins eating solids. You can try a little bit of Gerber lamb baby food. I took a little kitten I was raising to the vet for that reason and they were not as concerned as me. The cat eventually did poop on his own.....2 weeks later.

Feel it's abdomen. If you feel any hard masses inside, if your cat is straining to poop but can't, or if it appears to be in pain, take it to an emergency vet right away.
I just looked at it's age. Is the mother still caring for it? They shouldn't have to as much at that age but with very young kittens, the mothers lick their butts to stimulate them to pee and poop. Try wiping it's butt (very gently) with a warm, wet cloth.
Don't give it cow's milk, that will make it sick. And please do not give it an enema! You could seriously injure it.

You might be able to purchase a product called Cat-lax or Laxatone at you local pet store. If your kitten seems to be in pain, stops eating, or is otherwise acting abnormal in addition to not pooping, then find an emergency veterinarian to check him out.

Dip a q-tip in cooking oil and gently insert just the cotton tip into the cat's anus and twirl it around to stimulate. If that doesn't work, do it again tomorrow.

Do like the mother would do.... I did this with my kitten to get her to poop...

Warm your hands then make sure your fingers are warm and slightly wet like the mother cats tongue and massage the kittens butt... make sure that your fingers are warm and keep them moist....not drenching wet...

I would try feeding bran and then wait an hour or so, gently massage the stomach gently towards the bowels. then give it an enema if no results.

buy some bran (its cheap and usually in the baking isle). Mix it with warm milk and maybe add some sugar to sweeten it up. It gets really mushy in liquid. Not too much though. Good luck
