Aww! What a cute little fellow. It's good to see that he gets along with your cat. Toy dogs are mostly energetic, which you can tell that's what he is. As for breed, he looks like a mix between a Min-Pin (Miniature Pincher) and a chihuahua.

I've been doing animal rescue for a long time...and I agree with some of the others...he definitely looks like he is part Shiba Inu ...and maybe Chihuahua...I have a pure bred Chihuahua...but he is much smaller...Bandit is a beautiful little dog! My Chi has the same mask..Love the kitty too! :) Thanks for rescuing that little guy!

you might want to correct that, I did manage to find Bandit and will definately agree with the majority, he's a real cutie. As to breed it can be very difficult sometimes to discern. Could be Minpin from the markings, but could also be Rat Terrier of the tuxedo variety. I have a puppy sired by my daughter's Rat Terrier, her mother was a Pomeranian, so we tell everyone she is a Pomerat...lol I will post a pic of her if I can. Shiba Inu is VERY obvious in that one! The only thing that looks any different is the color. I would have to say Shiba Inu mixed with Min Pin or Manchester Terrier.

I would guess a Shiba Inu, possibly mixed with terrier, but from the pictures he looks pretty much like a Shiba. They can be very high energy and very smart, as could a terrier.

What a lovely looking dog! He actually looks like he has some kelpie in him, Simply because of the colour and eyes and the way he sits. It would also explain his energy and how smart he is. Not sure what he's crossed with though

he looks like he has alot of manchester terrier, I would say about 3/4. with him being a mixed breed, that would explain his size.

We owned one that was a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. Ours looked alot like yours, only was not as big.
