believe it or not what i'm about to tell is a TRUE story.
when i just came to america i was about 10. my dad and his friend were waiting in line for a job employment thing. my dad spoke a little english and his friend didn't speak english at the time. a cop came up to them and told my friends dad to see some ID. the friend didn't show any ID and my dad said he didn't speak english. the cop just laughed and took out nightstick and poked him in the chest a few times with it and forcfully he pushed him with the nightstick and one time in the face poking. my friends dad has short temper so he punched out the cop. a few cops were there at the time and beat my friends dad with nightsticks. was that police brutality? and did my friends dad do the right thing?

The poking with the nightstick would be the brutality. After you punch a police officer it would be justifiable force used during the arrest.

The cop shouldn't have treated this man like this with the nightstick, and the man was wrong in hitting the cop. He should have sought legal action against him later.

The police officer should not have pushed him around with his night stick. But you should never punch out a cop and think that you are going to come out without getting a beating. When people with sticks and guns tell you what to do.....do it.

I don't know....who ever hit who ....it seems to me...that the guy who punched first is to blame...a little poke with a stick is nothing...he has the right to poke you with a stick if he wants to....but you have no right to punch a cop!!! and another thing...you should know how to speak english in the first place....if your here in America....

Most people don't tell the truth when it comes to encounters with a cop. If your Dad did hit the cop he deserved to get the crap kicked out of him..period. YOU DO NOT HIT A COP....period. If I was there I would have 1st tased his ***, hit him with the batton repeately, and if he was still fighting, have my partners help me ASSIST him to the ground.

get used to it as our nation is rapidly becoming a police state with no restrictions on cops, look at how many innocent people have been killed by the police, how many have even lost their jobs much less be tried in a court of law, our fore fathers warned us that the gov, would become our worst enemy, so who do you fear most on the streets the cops or the crooks , I fear the cops more and I do believe most people do, and the feds are no better, look at Waco if you think not,and many other places and most are not publicized, I feel the man was right , but, you can't win there are to many of them and they will be the only ones with guns soon, except the other crooks,

Yes that is police brutality but the guy that doesnt speak english has no right to punch a police officer in the face. He can shove him but for punching the officer in the face he can be charged with assault. But yes it is police brutality
