Well to answer this easy , yes. You can approach this in two ways. You can apply for both at the same time. ROTC is going to give you your commision in the military and through a commision i believe you have a wish list of branches you would like to be in. Depending on the time of year and whats avail you may not be able to become an aviator. this is pure hear say but i am in the aviation branch as a crewchief on a helo. There are the options of highschool to flight school and other ways to become a warrant officer. i would recommend becoming a warrant officer over a commisioned officer any day. EIther way if you succeed you will end up in fort rucker , Alabama to attend flight school ,or to attened WOC school then flight school. Then it comes down to whats available to fly if you pass.

Be of good moral character
Pass a Class 1 Flight Physical
High School Graduation Diploma
Not taller than 76 inches or under 64 inches
18 to 29 years old upon entry into the course

If so, e-mail me today and find out how you could be flying in less than 56 weeks.

Preflight Training 2-weeks
UH-1 Primary 10-weeks
UH-1 Instrument Training 8-weeks

This is a pretty good site you can check out.

First it's WARRANT and second you can go from HIGH SCHOOL TO FLIGHT SCHOOL if you pass the F.A.S.T ( flight apptitude skills test) and get accepted -ROTC is an path to a 2ND LT. slot where as WOC school is for NCO's and flight trainees with no college -only officers fly ,either COMMISHIONED or WARRANT . Warrant is faster way to fly but a lot more competitive as College is not required and you are only going to be a pilot not a COMMANDER so they just pick the best flight candidates . you can apply for both at the same time but if you get both i would do the WOC then take college courses when you get your duty station as the GOVERNMENT will pay for it while on active duty - good luck and read the book CHICKEN HAWKS its about a high school to flight school WOC and full of good info - GOOD LUCK , HOOAH!!!

If you are applying to the flight program, you can do so at any time as long as you are not older than age 32. Yes, you can apply for both at the same time. Good luck.
