It makes my eyes water and burn just to be in the room with it. It is a disgusting habit. I would like all public institutions to ban it. It's awful. Have you ever been in the casinos? They are so repulsive. In businesses and plays that make so much money and take so much money, it ruins the whole atmosphere. I love the fact that there taxed so much. At least we're getting something out of it. It's amazing! Someday....

you know what's so funny? I smoke and no one ever knows I do, I don't stink my teeth are not yellow my clothes don't stink!!! Oh you know what else will give you cancer??? Almost anything!!! I support myself no one else does so if I want to spend $100 for a pack of smokes I will. Let's get a real topic going here what about people who drink? Drunk driving killed my uncle I find that more revolting than someone who smokes why don't you get a life and quit getting p*ssed over other peoples habits.

I also think it is a revolting habit. Smokers have that nasty nicotine breath that all non-smokers are reluctant to get near. The smoke makes clothes smell terrible, and why anyone would want to shorten their life voluntarily is ridiculous! The cost of a smoking is more than just money (think how much is spent in a year!!!).... but it ultimately costs lives!

You've already made up your mind obviously, so why did you ask this question? I am a smoker, simply because I enjoy it and make no apologies for it. I don't drink alcohol at all, don't do any kind of drug, am celibate, do not drive like a insane person ( have never even had a ticket), do not live on welfare, don't curse. These things annoy me in others. I guess it all just goes to prove that we can't please everyone no matter how hard we try.

I totally agree. I was smoking four packs a day when I finally saw the light and quit. I started because it was the thing to do and everyone was doing it back then. I wish I never had started but I am glad I finally quit before it killed me.

I've almost quit. Down to a few a day now. In all honesty, I started smoking because it used to give me one helluva buzz. That stops once it becomes a habit though. I hate to see young people smoke. Such a waste.

In Texas the cost of cigs is going up TEN DOLLARS a carton after the new year. My mom smokes.. and if this doesn't help her quit, I don't know what will!
She lost her mom and a best friend to cancer - - I don't know why she would want me to go through that too...

I've never smoked and don't like the smell. I guess people start to relax and be with the "In" crowd and then the nicotine gets them addicted. I'm sure that people don't want to smell like cigarettes or get cancer.

Yes, I do. I personally get the urge to vomit every time I smell cigarette smoke. I'm hoping by the time I die smoking will have become a thing of the past.

I'm one of those annoying ex-smokers who now can't stand the smell of cigarette smoking (or anything else about it!).
I smoked for three years in college, quit fourteen years ago, and have never regretted quitting. Best thing I could have ever done for myself and for my health.
You're right...it's an expensive, nasty habit.
