Your local social services department can provide you with a list of counselors who work on a scale based on income. The police who were involved in investigating the deaths should have provided you with places to go. If you belong to a church, then the administrative staff may have some connections. Most insurance plans through employers offer at least a few free visits then you can decide if paying the co-pay is worth it after that. Research local support group meetings of family members who remain after suicides. Once you get into your first group or situation you will find that leads to additional sources. Talk to the people in your group(s) about where they have gone and what they have done and you will find a lot of resources out there.

It's not possible, I believe , to NOT have it affect you. The key is to know that you are no longer a child. I've had childhood issues too. I told myself that God has me here for a reason. Honestly, I believe that if I survived my past, it was not meant to defeat me. I was not meant to live in depression, hopelessness or with thoughts of suicide. His Word says that His thoughts towards us are of good and not evil to give us a hope and a future. A FUTURE- we're not here to suffer.
I went on a tangent there, I'm sorry. I hope it helps some. You aren't alone and I wish you the best.

Why not find a clinic that offers sliding scale payments and get some counseling there. Also talk to your human resource person at work as you may have a telephone type counseling service available.

Change the cycle, and don't repeat your sisters misfortunes. They are free counseling at Hope Chapel, AAA meetings..etc.
