I have a cobolt dvd player and the picture has suddenly become doubled, that is, two images on the screen. How can I fix this?

Yes, try another DVD or another TV with that DVD player. You may have accidentally enabled progressive scan and your TV doesn't support it. There are two ways to enable DVD on a progressive DVD player. Often, there is a switch in the back of the DVD player. Also, there is usually a button on the remote that says progressive.
