This seems to be the hot topic...snacks for New Year's Eve. Here are four different type dips that I've collected from friends over the years...all very good...all very easy to make...hope one or more of them might be what you're looking for. Have a Happy!
Taco Spread
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. cream cheese (room temp)
1 pkg dry taco seasoning
4 oz cheddar cheese
2 tomatoes, diced
1 sm head Iceberg lettuce, shredded
½ C black olives, diced
Taco chips
Use a glass or plastic 9 x 13 x 2" pan. Mix together the sour cream, cream cheese, and taco seasoning. Spread in bottom of pan. Top with tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and olives. Serve with taco chips.
Ham Dip
16 oz cream cheese
2 sm cans Hormel Chunk Ham (or tuna fish)
½ C mayonnaise
½ tsp horseradish
1 T parsley flakes
Dash garlic powder
Mix all ingredients well and serve with crackers.
Seafood Dip for Chips/Crackers
½ C Weight Watcher’s whipped mayonnaise
½ C low-fat cottage cheese
½ sm jar horseradish
little ketchup (just enough to turn horseradish pink)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 lb imitation crab meat
Cut one-half of the seafood very small and put in blender with all other ingredients. Blend until mixture is as smooth as the mayonnaise. Dice rest of seafood and stir into blended mixture. Chill at least 1 hr.
Serve with crackers or chips.
Dill Dip for Vegetables
â
C sour cream
â
C mayonnaise
1 T chopped parsley
1 T instant onion
1 T dried dill weed
¼ tsp dry mustard
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Use for celery, cauliflower, broccoli, radishes, carrots.

Taco dip!!
***** I subsitute Hormel chili without beans for the refried beans!!!! I dont use olives or parsley either! You can really make it all you own, and I serve it with tortilla chips! Its awesome!!*****
1 can refried beans
1 package (8 oz.) creamcheese softened
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 ounces chedder cheese, shredded (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup pitted ripe olives (sliced)
1 med. tomato
1/4 cup sliced green onion tops
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, thinly sliced
preheat oven to 350. spread refried beans over bottom of 9 in. stoneware bakeing dish. then in a bowl mix cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning and
garlic.spread the cream cheese mixture over the beans. then sprinkle on cheddar cheese. you could heat at this point and top with the rest after, or I like to heat it arter it is all on there. sprinkle the rest of the ingredients over the top and heat untill warm.

I really like eating deviled eggs for some reason...
You can also try having some veggies with dip, like carrot with ranch or celery with peanut butter. It would be a very healthy way to start the new year.
