Should all men and women in the U.S be required to serve one-two years in the military after they graduate high school? The purpose of this programs (similar to Israel's) would be not only to create a large reserve fighting force, but to instill discpline, honor, and moral guidance to todays youth that severly lacks the above.

I don't think the military is the place where by morals and principles are instilled. That's a parents job that starts long before they enter kindergarten. I do not believe our children should fight someone else's war. And this is "someone else's war"
No to draft!

No. If you don't "get it", you're a risk to my son's life and the lives of all the other sons and daughters serving. If you "get it", then you're already in or on your way in.

If you want to send them through some sort of boot camp, but not the "real" ones, fine. There is plenty of work they could be doing here. Just keep them out of the military.

Only if it included EVERYONE. And i mean EVERYONE. Even the Presidents kids. No special treatment for the rich. None whatsoever. In fact politicians children should be put to the front of the list.

I think it would be a good idea. My generation sucks and they could use some discipline.

For people who think that they'd mess it up for people who wanted to be in the military, think again. If they f-ed around, they'd get messed up by drill sergents. They're not going to take sh-t from spoiled brats like that.
