2... praising God for the life hes given you is the best way to start off the new year. Even if lifes not the best right now, hes there and hes put you through it for a reason, and if you put your faith in him, it will all turn out the way he wants, which is for the best, so give thanks and stay focused on him and the purpose he has for you!

Wishing "good luck" makes a little more sense to me.... but...
Thanking a non-existent "Almighty" is more than just a tad stupid - I'm a died in the wool Atheist so I'm certainly not interested in going that way.
And look, even "luck" is sort of dumb, isn't it? Does "luck" ever exist differently year to year?... Isn't "luck" just another word for probability ...a mathematical law that remains statically in place?
Both of these choices are sort of in the same ballpark for me, aren't they? Neither satisfies.
I think you'll need to alter your question with a third option before expecting to see a choice from me. I'm feeling somewhat left out of this one....

I've given thanks for my years that have passed, one day at a time. I thank the lord every morning when my eyes open for the day that I have been given. As my year ends I will reflect on what I haven't accomplished and what I need to accomplish in the year to come. I will pray for a peaceful world in which I will be able to create my accomplishments and endure my mistakes.

Give thanks to the Almighty and prepare for His second coming so you can be prepared.
Jesus tells us to be ready and hopefully this will be the year He comes for us.
God Bless and have a safe New Year !

I say C. State your intentions out loud. What is it you wish to see changed? Then live that goal, as if you have your entire life.
