A jerk is a jerk. Truly cool people are not even aware that they're cool!

No. People will eventually see that the person that is sometimes cool and sometimes a jerk is really a jerk. I know a guy who was the most obnoxious person you'd ever meet and he got the employee of the year award. Award or no award, everyone eventually concluded that he was a jerk.

no you have to choose which one being nice and get more Friends then you could imagine or be a jerk and get a bad rep. and then no one will like you except for people that are jerky Friends with you now
so no it is not possible to be nice and a jerk at the same time

Sure! Many people who are self confident are perceived as jerks. Take Donald Trump - love him or hate him he's definitely cool and can be a jerk.

you cant make everyone happy all the time, someone always thinks you are a jerk, and some people think you are cool so yes it is possible and likely think about it..

Well the ones that I KNEW made me flip flop between loving them and hating them -- since I don't particularly care to hate the jerks lost. I think essentially they just were not true to themselves.
