That's funny. If it was the first time someone did it they should have to clean it and remember to not assume that someone else tightened the cap. If it was not the first time someone did it then they REALLY should have to clean it and MAYBE they'll REALLY remember to make sure the cap is tighten every time.

The person who did not cork the bottle properly should clean up the mess,,,because most likely the person who shook up the bottle did not know it would make a mess otherwise they wouldn't have done it

Oh my God, its just some juice on the floor. Just clean it up and get on with your life, what are you going to do when you get married and have a house full of people who just make a mess and walk away? Are you going to turn into the prison warden, calling lock downs, if I had a dollar for every mess I didnt have to clean I would have a house in Beverly Hills. Get over it, you clean for yourself, honestly cant stand people living in filth or mess.

The person who made the mess. I mean, its your fault the mess is there. They did technically put the top back, just not tightly enough. But, honestly, why did you spend time typing this question when there is apparently a mess of orange juice on the floor.
ps. always check the bottle !.

The person who shook it. Because they are the one who made the mess. It was there responsibility to make sure it was closed before shaking it.

the person who made the mess. Never assume that a lid is on correctly before you shake something. Either way, clean it up and dont worry about who should do it. just do it

Are you from NY or CA? Don't worry about who's legally responsible, just do the right thing and clean it up yourself. If a family member didn't put the cap on tight, just calmly mention to that person that he/she should make sure the cap is on tight. Maybe it was a small child or old person who just forgot to put the cap on tight.

What are we 3 again? You could have asked a better question then that. But, to settle your silly childish argument, the person that spills it should clean it up, then afterwards simply remind the other person to properly close all containers.
