I smoke 4 packs a day as many of you know I am trying to cut back and eventually stop (Hopefully) WELL the other day I was smoking and my 6 year old nephew started complaining about the smoke..I spanked the daylights out of him and sent him to his room. He is staying with me and my wife (AKA..the maid) I have also grounded him for 3 days..for saying anything about my smoke..Kids should be seen and not heard right?

umm one thing, JERK. gees im a kid and i hate the smoke it makes me sick--litterally really sick. you dont know maybe it makes him sick, maybe he just hates the smell, maybe hes caring to save your health. ever thought of that? i think you should be seen by like a therapist cause you sound crazy and not let other people hear how stupid you are.

What century are YOU living in? If you are smoking that much in front of a child, you are endangering his life. I hope your nephew is just visiting -- i would hate to think of any child living in such an environment.
Take your smoking outside and leave the house smoke-free. Be a man and think of someone besides yourself.

Are you kidding? 1st you should never spank a child that is not your own, and secondly the kid is only 6! Poor thing, he was just telling you his thoughts, the smoke is gross, it is isn't it!?! I think what you did is borderline child abuse and you need some parenting classes if you are going to take care of this child for any length of time.

OMG! that's horrible. First of all, he is NOT your kid. You have no right to spank or punish him unless you have the parents permission. Since he was complaining about the smoke it was probaly bothering him & in reality, you could be killing him from second-hand smoke. Second of all, he's only 6. He didn't know that what he says can possibly get him in trouble. Maybe you should see an anger manangement program b/c that was way out of line.

You overreacted. Your nephew was expressing his concern over your well being, they learn about the dangers of smoking at an early age. My daughter once colored an entire sheet of paper black and told me that is what my lungs would look like (she was in nursery school). "Seen and not heard" does not apply here. It would go along with do as I say and not as I do. Perfect head way into crating a future smoker. I think you need to talk with him about what happened and about adult choices, perhaps even suggest it is a poor choice and how hard it is to quit so don't start.

One: No you was tottaly wrong! you shouldn't even be smoking in the house! expacily if you smoke like that! he's 6 years old he's lungs are still developing! and 2nd hand smoke kills faster than 1st hand smoke! and ya know what I'm taking it you don't have kids and if you do I feel sorry for them but if ya don't have kids who do you think will take care of you when your older? uh who do you think will pay for the things you need? ugh jerks like you should be ran over!

No! That is not considerate to his feeling you should respect his opinion and not smoke around him especially because 2ND hand smoke is very dangerous. You should apologize and not be such a harm-full person. Do you want one of his childhood memories to be him being spanked by you and remember you as, 1. A bad person & 2. A very unhealthy mentor and leader! You should be ashamed!

What century are u living in??? That child may have an allergy to smoke! and u are not helping! Plus u spanked a child that isnt even yours! YOU should be ashamed of urself! i think this might be a joke, right!? ok im not one of those people that doesnt believe in disipline, but 1 spank might ahve been enouhg, if ANY! you could ground him of r1 day, becuz i hate it when people comment on my moms smoking habbits, but spanking went a littl efar, especially if it was jsut about the smoke bothering him.

First: you're the one causing the problem with the smoke, and it's justified even better if you smoke 4 packs
Second: you spank your NEPHEW? that's not your problem-even if he's living with you
and Third: there's absolutely no reason why you should even complain to him, much less spank him. Again, you're the problem, not him
