Hi, I live in an apartment and there is like an off white tile in the kitchen and in the bathrooms, And I mop it like every few days and it always turns like yellowish. I use like fabuloso and pinesole to mop and that doesn't seem to do the trick. So does anyone know what I can mop with that will do wonders on my tile?? Would like a bleach cleaner work?

When I had a white floor like that I had to use Ajax or Comet powder cleaner and I had to scrub it with a scrub brush, it was a lot of work but it always came out good!!

The yellowish tinge could also be from inadequate lighting or using the wrong wattage/type of light bulbs. Try replacing your light bulbs in that room with full spectrum light bulbs, such as the Reveal series by GE (they are a bit more expensive, but the light is closer to natural light and the bulbs last longer than traditional light bulbs).

Strip the floors as a last resort. Consider what kind of tile is there - ceramic, vinyl "peel and press", or a full sheet of vinyl flooring - then check with your local Home Depot or Lowe's or other building center for recommended cleaners for that type of floor covering.

You could also try using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and seeing if it helps (I've been amazed at what all one of those will do! It can be labor intensive, however). Other options might be OxyClean Miracle Foam or KaBoom Ultra Scrub.

Good luck!

You have a wax build up. Use ammonia to strip the wax off the floor to restore it to its original color. You may have to apply a new coat of wax or some other product to make it shine.

Perhaps that's the color it's supposed to be.....
You could try a little bleach in an inconspicuous area to check for satisfactory results.

You can try a wax remover available at your local retail outlet store. DO NOT use ammonia UNLESS YOU HAVE ADEQUATE VENTILATION.

DO NOT MIX AMMONIA WITH BLEACH. IT IS DEADLY.

Good Luck.
