its not a lie to get you converted. I'm not a Muslim and not about to convert but i too have been looking at the stats.

in my opinion i think its because many people are interested with knowing why a religion would support and evil act like 9/11 and when people start to look into the religion realizing that its the religion but extremist many might continue to look and get interested in the religion.

if people want to convert then its their decision and if so many Americans wanna convert then its not our business.

dont forget......its a free country

Have you actually read the article you just posted! read it. beside that it is old, 2002! we are so close to the year 2007. there are several factors that indicate it's falsie. Consider this, that those immigrate who migrate from the middle east are considered as Muslims although many of them are Christians. Also, for their securities, many Muslims who do convert to other religions, keep it a secret for their safety. Because conversion in Islam is punishable by death. How will those who convert from Islam will ever be counted if they are in hiding?
getting your facts from 'you tube'! not a very strong source of information! is it! other than if you want to have a big laugh, it is not a creditable source.

Islam grows by the biggest percentage, but Christianity grows by the biggest actual number of people.

1000 people convert to a religion that only had 100 people in it, thats a 1000% growth, thats what Islam does (analogy isnt to scale).

2500 people convert to a religion that has 50000 people in it. The % of people converting isnt as large, but more people converted, this is what Christianity does, (again, numbers don't acutally reflect the real numbers)

I am not sure but you might want to look at your stats again. If could be that is immigrents coming in to the US. You would also need to see what they were converting from. They might have not been religious before. Also Islam is more at the forefront of the news so more people know about it.

It is easy to grow quickly when your numbers are small. My new religion just went from having zero people to having one. This infinite growth rate surpasses that seen by Islam.

No, wicca is the fastest-growing religion in the US, Islam is the fastest-growing in the world, and plus the truth of a faith is not determined by numbers.

Question, were all these converts in prison? It promotes a victimization mentality, treating women like cattle, and promising that the whole "system" in (name the country) can be turned upside down to benefit you (if you are on the bottom, can't get worse, right?), and then there is the 72 virgins waiting in the next world, I admit, it's tempting, but the promise of power, sex, wordly goods, and the allowance of violence against your enemies, sounds an awful lot like the opposite to Christ to me, that's just my warped view I guess.

I'd like to see the statistic. But, if it's true it's probably due to immigration.

It's a new fad for westerners. They see it as mysterious and exotic. Plus, Muslims actually obey their holy book unlike the Christians who ignore over half of the Bible called the Old Testament even though Jesus said he was here to uphold the Jewish law and not abolish it.
