Get a tutor to help you learn for that class, and ignore whatever the teacher is saying that is confusing. I usually just end up teaching myself.

You will have many teachers that you don't get along with, and simply don't care for; however there is a big difference from a teacher that you don't like, and one you can not learn from.
You can be taking the same class subject from two different teachers and have a completely different experience in each classroom, not to mention get a completely different grade. If you are having problems academically, I am truly sorry that you cannot change classes/teachers. If you are simply not relating to your teacher the way you want to, try arranging a meeting one on one with him/her and telling them exactly the way you feel. They will respect you for your honesty and possibly be a little more sympathetic to your problem and offer you some much needed help with your schoolwork.Good luck!

I have teachers like that as well..the ones that just talk above our heads? My biggest problem was not asking enough questions on the subject. I was too shy to ask them in fear of the teacher thinking I was stupid. But I learned that if you just talk to the teacher alone about what it is that's complicating things for you, they can really be a lot of help.
Good Luck!

Ask another student for help. If you have already spoken to the teacher, talk to your Vice Principal and explain the problem. Perhaps you could have a conference with the VP, teacher, and one of your parents.

I feel for you! I work at a high school and it's not always possible to switch to a different class particularly this late in the semester.

that Happened to Me I got a Detention, because she was indian and i couldn't understand her at all and it's like she see's things different from the way my regular teacher goes. And she was a sub. the best thing you can do would be 1/ read and follow along because the teacher is not always going to tell you by words you have to read the actually function what's she is saying.

This only applies if your in high school but yes. Its a burden on some people but if you have a good enough reason you can get it changed better to do so asap but get your parents involved and its pretty much a piece of cake.
