Yes. Just as soon as we all have a common enemy and need to identify ourselves in that manner.
That could possibly mean bad a** space invaders.

It Will happen once the earth has a common enemy
and not before--- we will have our seperate country flags--they are not so stupid as to disallow our individual heritage-- but there WILL be a one world government and it wil be under one person and that person will have all the answers ( no more need for the Y-A then) This time is rapidly approaching---it will all come together when the world is "invaded" and thousands of our citizens "kidnapped" by "beings" that come from a "far away galaxy"--- it will be at that time that the earth will be getting the information that "reveals" the information that has been hidden from people for decades about the existence of "others" in the galaxy--- and for the first time--earth will have a common enemy and it will be only then that the world will put aside its petty and stupid blood fueds and join in concert to protect ourselves from this preceived "threat"------the world will see basically three years of unpresidented prosperity and progress--then-- with no warning at all----the whole thing will unglue and the end of days will unfold !!!! IT IS WRITTEN !!!

Great to stop squabbles and wars ! However, one government for all lands ? Sounds like monopoly, the actual results would be tryannical for some places. England could not understand America's needs, and America cannot understand Canada's needs, the developed world won't pay much attention to Africa's needs. The ruler of a one government will have too much to handle.

Only two ways that could happen.
First everyone sets asides their differences and accepts other people and their differences.
Second the government takes away individual thought, all forms of individuality, dictates what we can and cannot do, and pretty much controls our entire lives for us.
I would go for the first, but compared to the second I would rather have different countries.

I highly doubt it, since it would be hard to stop the quarrels and trouble that is already existing now...... but I am pessimistic, so I believe it can happen.
Do I wish it would happen ? yes
Then we would have to adopt new systems and understandings.
The way those huge ancient empires of the past usuallyy got broken down because of too many revolts, opinions, and different reasons of the sort. Because , people have different views on life, they wouldn't agree to all follow one thing, and it depends on how tolerant the system is.
I would love for it to happen , although.

Not with humans in power.The Bible speaks about this...Daniel 2:44... "and in the days of those kings (context : prophesy about prominent world governments.. Babylon, Medo-persia, Greece, Rome... up til our time of segmented, unstable rulership of the planet...) The God of heaven will sett up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these other kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite...

tolerance for varying religious beliefs needs to be achieved first.
every war has a religious component.....if we can achieve a respect for the variety of gods and variety of religion we stand a chance for a unified governing system. I think if we as a world were united in a common goal....like space exploration, we stand a better chance of being a united earth....kinda like star trek......
