I'm looking for a reliable vehicle, good gas mileage, good looking car. I test drove both today and I can't decide.
THANKS!

Toyota all the way:
-much better reliability
-much better resale/less depreciation
-better interior quality - Chevy looks like vinyl and tupperware
-more refined motors and controls
-better motors (the Chevy has a Chinese V6)
-the 4 cylinder is peppy enough
-the v6 can flat out fly
-better mpg
-better handling and less likely to tip up in hard cornering
-no more expensive to repair, and much less likely no need it

I would also look at the Honda CRV, Subaru Forester and even the Hyundai Tucson or Sante Fe. The Chevy is just flat out not that good of a vehicle.

Get the RAV4.

Its reliable, looks nicer, has more room, and gets good gas mileage (I think RAV4's gas mileage is better than Equinox's) You also have a choice between a 4 cylinder engine or a V6 and the sound system is very niice. (I also think the Rav4's sound system is better than the Equinox's)

Definetely Toyota... Nothing against american cars but Japanese lasts you for more than 100,000 miles and besides that the RAV4 is a 4 cyl (most of them) meanwhile the Chevy is 6. Toyota consumes less gas.

i havent personally drove the rav4 but i work at a pontiac dealership....we offer the torrent which is very similar to the equinox....reliability i would give it a 8 out of 10........gas mileage ( for a suv) 8 out of 10.....plus it has a 5 star crash rating!! better safe than sorry! (insurance discount) the equinox's stlying fits all ages and genders.....i would really enjoy to have one........
toyota has a great reputation for reliabilty and gas mileage....check out the hybrid if they offer it in the rav4...
hope this helps...BUY THE EQUINOX! :)

I personally would stay away from anything GM (chevy). There quality has really gone down hill over the years and they have had a lot of engineering flaws that the deemed were to expensive to correct and just patch the problem and wait for the 36k warranty to run out. You might just be able to google the vehicle in queston and the year and problems and see what comes up. Good luck with your hunt.....

2007 Chevy parts would be cheaper
2007 Toyota may last longer but more expensive to repair.

Then don't even look at the Chevy. Compared to the RAV4, it's a dung pile.

the RAV4 is better.
1. Its a toyota, so you can be sure it'll last
2. Better quality
3 better fuel economy
