Blow dry then find a hairspray that can enhance the volume of your hair.

I live in Nashville, so I feel qualified to answer this one. :)

1.) Spray your roots (only) on the crown of your head and also the top sides with volumizing or strong hold hairspray while you hair is still damp/wet.
2.) Then blowdry your hair upside down.
3. Curl hair with a big size curling iron, paying special attention to the crown area.
4. Then tease, tease, tease and smooth over. I use a regular brush for backcombing instead of a comb.
5. Spray, spray spray with hairspray. :)

You need what is called root lifter...its a product that came out about three years ago. Its a product that is applyed just at the roots...it toughens them up a little but since it only goes on your roots it dosen't weight down the rest of your hair too. I use one all the time.

Regis makes one called root boost....Matrix is by amplify and its called root lifter. Just about every line makes one. Some are liquid and some are foam but I havne't noticed a differnce in the result between the two types. These products have special applicators that allow you to just apply them at your roots...it dosen't take much of the profesiounal lines.

Then simply style...blow drying upside down is a good way b/c it sets the product with the hair in a upright position so that will give you more body.

Rollers. Great big ones. Back in the day we used empty orange juice cans. You only need 2-3 on the top of your head. And because they are on the top of your head, it is easy to sleep with them. Use gel when rolling the hair. Then --this is a trick to really get it to set well--after you have them roled, spray a bit of hairspray on the rolled hair.

It creates a really nice look, try it.

Using a hairdryer can help to create lots of volume. Ask your stylist for a volumizer that contains a heat activated conditioner. This will help you to achieve gorgeous volume without heat damage. Round brushes also help create massive volume when used with a dryer.Schedule a consultation with your stylist. She may be able to show you exactly how you can achieve what you want with your hair free of charge.Good Luck.

Get a good root lifter. Like TRESemme' Big Boost root lift spray, spray the root of your hair all over your scalp and the flip and blow dry upside down. It will give you tons of body!

Apply some gel to the root area and then scrunch it with your fingers. This will give it a similar look. Best of Luck.

blow dry the roots of your hair for more volume, and use a volumizing shampoo, it'll give you that extra 'poof' you need
