I dont know what your age is or your level of loss is, but get a prescription for Propecia. It is 90-95% effective in STOPPING further hair loss and 30 - 60 percent see new hair growth or restoration.

check it out. www.propecia.com

There is also hair restoration, which I have done where they take grafts from the back of your head and place in the front. Docs can do WONDERS with that where you can't even tell the difference.

There is a product line called Nioxen. I highly recomend it. I have several customers that use it. There are a lot of products in the line...however the ones I generally recoment are the Clenser (shampoo), scalp treatment (conditionar) and follicle booster (topical treatment). Even if you don't use conditionar normally, the scalp treatment is more then that it is a treatment for your scalp, it tingles a lot. Withen these there are two either you buy for thinning or Noticablly thinning hair...and also chemically treated or normal.

Nioxen is a more expensive line...its a professional line. I have seen with my own eyes it work, its pretty cool. I don't know about other salons...but I work for ther regis corporation and they have the x-mas gift sets on clearence for 50% off so that would be a good way to try it. Other salons though they don't normally advertise this...allow customers to try their products for a while before they have to return them...and they can receive a full refund or a exchange even if they do use it for a couple weeks. So check on the return policy.

Other ways to stimulate hair growth are rubbing your scalp with a comb or massaging it with your hands. Anything to increase blood circulation, that gets blood to the folicules and feeds them...thus making them grow.

Tea tree oil is also effective....they also make tea tree shampoo. But you can just buy the oil too....its very condensed though...very potent.

Try to identify when the hair loss started and if you changed anything with your hair. For example if you started straightening it or if you started applying lots of mousse. It is likely that this could be the reason. If you find it was due to the use of these things then stop using them.
Stick to one shampoo or shower gel. If it is repeatedly changed it could cause damage to your hair as shampoos aren't natural, you would be adding more and more chemical products in your hair which could damage them and cause them to fall out.
Oiling the hair also helps with coconut oil for example. By doing this, when you go out the pollution in the environment won't stick straight onto your hair and damage it. It will stick to the oil instead which can be washed off when you get home.
Wash your hair regularly, unclean hair could contain lots of damaging things. Frequent washing can help keep hair clean and healthy.
Wash your hair with warm to normal temperature water. Water which is too hot can also damage the hair.
Try and reduce stress or anxiety that is getting to you. Tension and anxiety do not help as you will be so worried your body won't be mentally healthy so this will lead to physical deterioration too which includes hair loss

if it's serious, do go see a dematologist ASAP. It could be "alopecia" (check out the website) It's not necessarily stress-induced. A dermie can correct the problem but don't delay seeing him. I had the same problem 8 months ago, but the dermie treated me and it's all ok now.

If you haven't heard of Scalpmed, you might wanna take a look. It is the hottest topical medicine out there for people who are beginning to lose hair. I have not tried it myself but is still gathering information about it and admit that you and I have the same problem. For now, just wear a hat but please do talk to your doctor for a more professional advice.
