I was told that my vehicle was purchased in Canada and because of the change between kilometers and miles, the dealer adjusted my odometer miles, so now my trade-in value is less. Isn't that dishonest? How can I find out more information on this practice?

The odometer reads in kilometers. Turning it back so it looks like the mile equivalent is illegal. I have never heard of one being turned back to do that.Your reading would be lower in miles. Your trade in would increase in value. The dealer should have just left a note in the vehicle that it reads in kilometers.
10 kilometers is 6.21 miles
