lets say a 6'1 lazy guy but with a bully-like constitution

"you got a cigarette mate" "look at that" - then hes gonna sucker punch you. Or smack you with his pint glass.

Martial arts will serve you well for awareness but hope to heck you never really have to use it because most thugs are armed with knives and guns and no MA can stop a bullet from a distance, all they can hope for is a bad shot, good luck and a get away. Im a trainen MA and Id never take a gun on unless I knew he was going to pull the trigger anways then Id have nothing left to lost by trying.

WITH NO WEAPONS, a rarety, the 6'1 may win, just cause you are in condition does not mean you know how to fight, sure you could outrun him to the cops, but if its a brawl hell mangle you western style unless you know how to fight in some aspect, then that will make a differance.

Amusing posts. Some people like fighting when drunk. For a serious reason for street fight- no rules, survival only- for a serious martial artist of a few schools: final promotion is a blood promotion. A few Okinawan fighters will find a public trouble maker/criminal and try to kill or cripple him- they trace back to the old Okinawan public lawkeeper/protectors. Chinese arts have a old master beating a tiger with a staff- his version of looking at face of death. The military martial arts history of 19th/20th century Okinawa and Japan has a few instances of killing enemy to be advanced. Kung Fu/Wu Shu conected to some Tong history will occasionally have a blood promotionn--was one school in Joliet that had some of the ladies hunting pimps/rapists/gang bangers on street--3/4 got full promotion about the same badly hurt before Sifu of school told them to forget getting close for hand/foot strike and use a carine at 100meters. still had new teachers that could say- this technique will kill. .

Bullies won't last long in a street fight. They are mostly motivated by pride.

I'm 4' 10" and 96 pounds but kicked the sh*t out of a biker dude in Detroit 'cause he called me a göök ho. Then I made him my bi-yatch.
