I was so tired everyday that I couldnt even excercise.. I talked to a naturist.. and he told me the same thing I was preaching from the beggining.. Before you take your vitamins make sure you have enough food in your stomach if you don't then your just gonna pee it out, the food will help carry the vitamins through your system. Most people need more than a multi. B-12 is something most women need and iron. You lose so much during your period. A woman can never really catch up on the blood regeneration. It takes about 90 days for your red blood cells to regroup, and if you have a period once a month you are always behind the eight ball. Add iron to your vitamin intake with B-12. Or spend more money on a good multi-mineral vitamin, some kind of womens formula, you'll see if you compare it to others that it will have added iron among other things. If your pee is really yellow( like egg yolk yellow) and cloudy then your wasting most of your supplement. The iron will turn your bowels green.......don't worry it does that to everyone.

Required vitamins are specific to certain people. If you're taking Iron supplements and you don't need iron, you will be more tired. Some vitamins also cause an increase in melatonin, the sleep hormone. You may also have a deficiency in something you're not taking, and the processing of the vitamins you are taking is requiring more energy than you have. I would suggest having some blood work done after not having taken any vitamins for a week or so and fasting for 12 hourse before you go. Tell the doctor you want to test to see what you need to take. Tell him your problem, and he will help you.

You might also have anemia. Oxygenated blood gives your body energy, and if you have an iron deficiency and you're taking things that cause your body to lose water, such as excess protein and vitamin C and othe water soluble vitamins, you will worsen the anemia effect.

Again, I suggest seeing a doctor for a checkup and bloodwork. It will tell you exactly what you need to be taking.

Most importantly, you will be surprised at how much energy you will gain from drinking lots of water. 64 oz per day for inactive people and up to 128 oz per day for active people, over the course of the day.

If you take a lot of them the blood rushes to your stomach and that leaves you with less blood in your muscles and other parts of your body making you feel sluggish. You may want to take vitamins in the late evening a coupld or hours before you go to bed. It also sounds like you may not be eating three regular meals. You need to spread your meals out, so you avoid that tired feeling after eating or taking vitamins. Another possibility is that you may not be getting enough sleep that also causes a tired feeling after eating or taking a lot of vitamins, especially around lunch time.
If you are feeling tired all the time you may also have an illness or disease like diabetes, or perhaps you are lacking iron, but you better get your blood checked if it is constant fatigue. It might be something simply like dehydration, lack of sleep, poor diet, drinking too much alcohol, or lack of exercise, but if you had it for a while you should get checked out. Diabetes if left untreated can lead to eye damage, nerve damage, and you could go into a coma.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test. Things like low Iron can make you have less energy and the vitamin may not give you enough.

The only way to get energy is to be active. Go for walks on a daily basis and keep on taking your vitamins. You will feel better in a week.

Some vitamins are full of fillers that have white starches and even sugars in them. Consuming white flour, processed sugars and such will play havoc with your blood sugar making you feel tired. Some vitamins add to this affect. Read the ingredients on the bottle. Try eating fresher unprocessed foods if you can, I know processed foods are a time saver but you will feel better for it.

Also overdosing on a vitamin can make you ill.

Get a check up in case something else is out of whack. If everything is medically fine, pay attention to when you're taking your vitamins. If you're taking individual supplements you may be taking them at the wrong time or they may be interacting. Try spreading them out and make sure you take your calcium in the evening.

Only take vitamins if your doctor told you to, and maybe your body has become used to or immune to the vitamins, but do not increase your doses unless your doctor told you.
