are you talking about when you get old..and you are shorter then you once use to be....?

Well it is a break down of your vertabrae in your back...you get hunched over..and your back never gets back to the way it once was....

Ask we get older, the spaces between our spine(discs) get smaller,as does our posture usually get worse.

It depends on your posture. If you are hunched over. Also, you lose height as you age.
