I'm 13, and recently I've just started to notice that I get a single hair much longer and much darker then the rest appear in places. I've been pulling them out because they look so out of place. Is that normal? Also, I think I might have to shave my chin and other parts of my face because of hair sticking out. Is it normal to be 13 and have to shave already?

...I don't find this funny it's driving me insane I don't want to shave right now it seems too early and plus I don't even live with my Dad, just my mom, so it's not even like I can find out how unless I try doing something on my own.

No it's not "down there"... I found it on my chest. I think it's weird because I see alot of things on TV about some guys not getting chest hair until the age 17 or something, and yet I sorta have it. And the rest is all short and blonde and hardly noticable, and then one day there was this random long black thing there... what the heck?!

It's normal, don't worry too much. You are not too young to start growing body hair, be proud of it... you're becoming a man sooner than others. As for guys not getting chest hair until they're 17 or so, that normal, not all guys grow chest hair like others, some get a lot and others very little. I myself didn't have hardly any chest hair, but when I started modeling I would shave the very little chest hair I had, now I have a bit more and I'm 33. As for facial hair, if it's only a few here and there, I suggest you pluck for now, shave when you start growing out more or if plucking hurts. And just for your info, you might grow pubic hair slower than facial and body hair if you haven't already, no worries... it's normal. You'll be fine

It's called puberty. My husband is sitting next to me and said he got his first chest hair when he was 12 or 13 and started shaving his face at 14. So 13 is fine if you want to start shaving. Although you don't have to because the hair is growing in, but it's light so it's not as noticeable as a man's facial hair.

I know it hard to adjust to...you live yoru entire life with out hair and then all of a sudden you have it. I still can't believe my little brother shaves.

Differnet people get hair at different times and differnet places.

I'm sure your mom will understand if you tell her...I bet she will just smile. I know that its kinda weird though.

Plus from dating different men I have learned that they all shave differently anyways. So learning yourself will be ok. Just take it slow at first so u don't cut youself.

You're totally normal. I started shaving at age 11.

relax its normal. your hormones are going crazy and its reflecting in your body IE the hair growth. if its not a lot just keep doing what your doing. if its on your face and you want to start shaving. but really its OK not a big deal just hard to get used to.

Completely Normal. You will have hairs that grow longer than the others your whole life.

Also 13 is about the age when you start getting facial hair.

It's normal. Don't shave it but it probably won't hurt to pull it. The others will catch up, eventually.

You are going through puberty...your testosterone levels are increasing. This is normal as plucking them out or shaving is. later on as you get older your beard or facial hair will get more growth even and fuller or thicker..
