Yea, like Christianity is a failure after more than 2.000 years. We don't have to prove anything, it proves itself.

44 "But I say to you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Matt 5:44-45 NASB

As others here have answered, no system or philosophy or teaching is of any use if the followers of that philosophy do not actually follow. My daughter just had a visit today with a friend who moved to Alabama. Her friend told my daughter that every new person she meets asks right away which church she goes to. She doesn't go to church, so the people she meets shun her. If these people cannot love a stranger because she does not attend a church, what are the chances they can love an actual enemy?

It's not the system of spirituality, it's the people. Humans are naturally selfish, fearful, and evil. They hear the sermons and read the passages telling them to renew themselves, put on the new man, repent (which is to turn away), but they simply don't do it.

Most "Christian" Americans are convinced that Islam is the devil's playground, but most Muslims are peaceful, cooperative, loving folk. The extremists that promote terror and bloodshed are not mainstream, any more than Adolf Hitler was a mainstream Christian. And the followers of the violent extremist Muslim leaders do pretty much what they are told to do. But, Americans pretty much hate Arabs and Muslims because they perceive them to be a threat. They cannot love their enemy. Can anyone reading this forgive Osama BinLaden for his role in the 9-11 terrorism? Are any of you capable of loving Osama BinLaden? If so, then you have found the perfect spirituality!

So, the Bible surely represents what you are looking for. Most of those who believe in other religions or spiritualities agree that the morality and behavior and teachings of Jesus were beyond reproach; they just don't accept Him as the Messiah, as Divine. They respect Him as a great teacher and philosopher. Very few deny the truth of His teachings regarding how to live.

This, by the way, is one of the most convincing arguments for Jesus' divinity. How could a good and highly moral person present Himself to the whole world as God "walking in our midst" if it were not true? The presenter of the greatest standard for truth, forgiveness and love that ever lived was also a boldface liar? What are the chances?

Stick with Jesus. He is the Way. If you actually follow His path (no one does...all sin and fall short of the Glory), you will have found the perfect spirituality.

But, if you are waiting for some spirituality to make you a better person, you're going to be waiting a long time. Those who say that Christianity changed their life miss the point entirely. Their lives may have changed for the better, but that change was the result of their willingness to submit to the will of God as spelled out in the Bible. THEY changed their life. This is what Jesus taught. Change your life. YOU do it. The blessings will follow.

you need to forget about religion. Spirituality and religion are 2 different things.
The problem with religion, is people have a slight idea and try to build a foundation from it. They have to pinpoint every little idea. Just stick with a belief that there is a higher power and let the rest fall into place.
The example of Christianity that you used, was taken out of the bible. Which is NOT the basis for Christianity. The believe in Jesus Christ is. Jesus said him self "just look inside yourself and I'll be there".
Forget whats on paper, and what others tell you to believe and you will find your own answers, that is the only true way to find advanced spirituality.

If you are looking for an organized religion with a set of writings you might try reading some of the Buddha's works or some Taoist teachings. If you are looking for a more Western viewpoint, you might explore the Unitarians.

You might also just make up your own. philosophy. Feel free to pick and choose. Asking the question is the first step.

Go in peace to love and serve the truth.

You're looking for Buddhism. Strictly speaking, NOT a religion but a life philosophy. There are MANY MANY MANY MANY sects that vary more then the denominations of Christianity. However, followers of Nichiren Daishonin (gain we meet many sects) have never been defeated in a debate of philosophy or belief. It hinges on cause and effect which is a known principle and Buddhism explains things accurately to us that which science has been 100's sometimes over 2000 years to prove to us. Such as the existence of atoms and sub atomic particles. I'd tell you more but discovery of the truth is part of the path to enlightenment. But you will not find any wars waged by Buddhists, which right away gives an advantage as an easy to understand, workable moral guideline.

I'd say humanism.

Humanists believe
- that we can live good lives without religious or superstitious beliefs;
- that we only have one life and we should make the best of it, creating meaning and purpose for ourselves and making sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values
- that we should try to live happy and fulfilled lives and help others to do so.
- that the way to achieve this is to live responsibly, thinking rationally about right and wrong, considering the consequences of our actions and trying to do the right thing; Humanism is an ethical worldview, not just an atheistic or agnostic one.

Most humanists are atheist or agnostic but humanist are quick to point out that humanism is NOT an "anti-religion" group.

Yes, the Christian Bible has many answers but one has only to begin reading...Too complicated? Read Christian literature.

The Southern or American Baptists, Methodists and Presbyterians are good sources for learning as their literature backs up the Bible. Is God really real? Yes He is Read Ezekiel Chapter 1 verses 25-28 as proof of His Presence.

The Tyndale 365 day Bible is also a good read

I am a Christian, I became one because I couldn't explain how the disciples could continue in their faith if Jesus was really dead. Nobody up to this point has produced a convincing reason for Jesus' body not to be in the tomb unless he has truly been resurrected. Unfortunately if you want a philosophy you will be disappointed in Christianity, since God requires his followers to live by faith and not by man's empty wisdom.
Best regards.
Paul.

Make up your mind. Is it philosophy (most of which can be looked up very easily) or spirituality you want? They are two different things. Most people answer from bias because that is their belief system and the one about which they know the most. If you want research statistics, you can get those on your own. It's your quest for knowledge, seek it.

"advanced" is a relative term, what i or others deem to be successful philosophies may be deemed as gibberish by another.

I could say "Do no harm", but if your a serial killer, that wouldn't make much sense, now would it?

my philosophy happens to be:
learn, adapt and do no unnecessary evils.

my reasoning? by learning i experience more, by adapting to that knowledge i further my growth, and by doing no harm, i maintain a stable position in society, which furthers my knowledge.

Perhaps you are asking for more than you are willing to accept when the truth is handed to you.

Spritual purpose of life according to God in a nut shell..

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

To simplify that for you.... God has weeded out the best of the best of mortal man and woman to become His Son Jesus bride in heaven. Together this Christian group becomes one body in Christ. So the purpose of life is the live a righeous life according to the word of God, accept the groom,Jesus as your personal Savior, which gains you entry into heaven, and become Jesus wife for all eternity, according to God's will and plan.

God wants a bride for Jesus that truly loves Him, with out quesiton or hesitation, and not a pre arranged marrage with someone who is forced to be Jesus bride. That is why God gave us all the freedom to choose Jesus or satan.
