Think for long term healthy habits in terms of eating healthy and
exercise. There's no other way to keep yourself at healthy weight.
Otherwise, if you use a quick method, lose the weight, but once you're off of the diet and will gain it back very soon. Yo-yo diet is bad for both physical and mental health.
The best way is to eat everything but in small portions and slowly eat a little less each period of time but always in healthy portion. Must eat otherwise body authmatically store fat for survival. Exercise for 30-60 min a day such as walking is sufficient for a healthy heart rate and it's easy to keep it up everyday.
Finally, a lot of water. It helps to curve the eating urges and flush out the toxins in your body as well. This may be something you can do for the rest of your life and look great all the time.

Alright bout time a serious person asked. There are two ways to loose weight. Not eating and running. I'm sure you'd prefer the easier and less deadly on so here you go. start out slow with running at night or when eve for about 30min then as you become more athletic run more and jog less. The harder the running pace is the more fat you will burn. at the end of you exercise make sure to cool down for 10-15min. Also once you have become accustomed to running try a more hilly area this makes you work harder to make a goal. the most important thing is setting goals for your running, miles, times and, difficulty are areas you can set goals in.
For example when I started I said I wanted to run a 5min mile and so that's what I worked towards and the weight loss comes with it.
You can also try sprinting for 15min a day.
Also try lifting weights. light weight and a lot of repetitions is good for toning down. Great for burning fat.

I've had some luck with the South Beach Diet. It can be tricky trying to do this on a vegetarian diet, but it's still possible. Make sure you have plenty of cheese, nuts, salads, and sugar-free snacks (like Jello!) stocked up for you to eat. You can also get some tasty Indian foods that are completely vegetarian, like dal (lentils), palak paneer, muttar paneer. However, keep in mind that like any diet, this works for some people & not others, so you can re-evaluate it after a few weeks, and try something different if you're still not making any progress.
Good luck!
[Edited to add...]
Whoops, I forgot that I once had a vegetarian friend who wouldn't eat Jello because she said it contained animal products. Check the labels on anything you eat. :-)

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

My best friend started Weight Watchers online. You have to pay... but she has lost five pounds so far. She has only been a member for about three weeks. I'm not sure how old you are, but she is 14 so that program will work for teens. You can eat whatever you want but it makes you really aware of what you are eating. You should consider it!

i'm a vegetarian. If you're a good vegetarian and don't just live off of non meat junk food, and exercise, then you should lose weight. however many vegetarians actually gain weight because they just eat more potato chips and stuff that's still awful for you. just try to avoid expressly bad foods, and make some lifestyle changes. walk more places, take the stairs more, go for a walk instead of watching TV. don't become vegetarian just to lose weight- it takes commitment and it's harder than you'd think.

eat breakfast, maybe fruit or healthy oatmeal. eat a lunch, no fries, maybe a salad with low fat dressing, dinner, no fast food. and exercise evdedry night, even if it is only 10-25 crunches a night. and jog/speed walk. cardio mostly.
me i am 16 and although this is not the best thing to do, i burnt more calories than i comsumed. it is kinda quick but if you burn way more than you comsume than it could be dangerous with passing out and what not. but eat healthy! and gradually increade the exercise load
