Some great excersise to do is tuck jumps, running around a clothes line 100 times. you can also try lunges and small weights.
thats what i do and you can lose about 10 kg in 3 weeks. its great and hving a protien shake can help to. do jumprope like you are and streches. use a chair or window sill to put your leg up and put your head as close to your knee as possible.

Me as a dancer can do it easy so if this happens for you then lift your leg above your head.

Hope this can work for you.

There are many other exercises that make use of the exercise ball that work your abs.
A simple exercise that requires no equipment is called a sitback.
Sit with your knees bent and lean your torso back to a 45-degree angle and just hold that position for 20 seconds. That can be a simple and effective way to keep good muscle tone in your abs.
If space is an issue for you, pick up some light hand weights and do simple lifts to work your arms, shoulders and chest.
Get outside to walk or jog if you can. Aerobic exercise will do wonders for you in many ways.

First off... the 5 mins on each cardio machine should be the minimum for your WARM UP, and should be used everytime you exercise, not just on alternate days. The main cause for Shin splints is: 1) Lack of stretching, Warm-Ups and Cool-Downs 2) Overtraining You should warm up first, before stretching and before any form of exercise. Minimum 5 to 10 mins. Follow with stretching. The best to prevent shin splints is the ITB (illiotibial) stretch - look it up on google - and the tibialis anterior stretch. The other major factor, is NOT COOLING DOWN. this is just as important, if not moreso, than warming up. a 5 minute cool down is all that is required, followed by more stretching. When you exercise muscles contract, and tighten, so if you dont lengthen them again, they are more likely to tear and cause shin splints than if you do. At a guess, i'd say its only because you've only just started training, give it time ad they will work themselves out.

It sounds like you got the cardio covered and some more
toning exercise would help. How about weigh lift cans of soup or water bottle for toner arms. Save money from buying the weights or in case not interested later.

Jump rope creates rythm and foot coordination, its not really excercise, [plus it gets your heart pumpin. Get two small dumbells about 3 to 5 lbs and work on dumbell bends that reduce love handles. Also curls and various light dumbell excercises. Also try pilates.

Maybe get some dumbbells. You can do a lot without much space using these. And maybe get a book on Yoga. There's tons of yoga stuff you can do in a confined space

Yoga, Tai Chi :) Both are very relaxing, increase flexibility, balance and tone you at the same time.
There's also the "8 minute workout" thing... I don't remember the guy, but look it up on google.

put yourself into a doorframe and put your arms about 6 inches above your head and push for 10 seconds. then repeat for 4 sets. It's a great workout and helps burn fat/calories
