I worry so much about my family. For instance i am dead set about going with my father to his next dr. appointment because he has lost so much weight from diabetes and he wasn't like this before i guess it happened when my grandmother fell ill. Secondly my mom has lost so much weight to from rheumatoid arthritis i mean she has lost for 4 dress sizes. I beg her to go to therapy, but she is scared. Third, since my grandmother has gotten better i still am protective over her. I can't help it.

I worry about my family a lot too.
What I do, is talk about it to the people who I am worried about. I let them know how I feel and stuff. Usually, after hearing what they have to say I feel better. I also journal and write down about my day and always mention when I'm worried. It relieves me and helps me relax.
The best thing to do though is just to RELAX. You never seem to enjoy life if you keep worrying and can't let go. If you believe in God and stuff, pray and ask Him to help you out. Anyway, I think you should let your family know how you feel and try to just relax more.

Good luck!

I know it is difficult but sometimes it is good to think about why we are worrying. you are feeling fear - fear of them getting sick or dying. There is nothing you can do to prevent this. Try to let go and not let it affect you so much.

Not a bit of worry can change their health, or change a situation. All it does is affect you in a negative way - and you could end up getting sick.

What is the worse thing that can happen? It is not that bad. Pray for them, do what you can to help them but then ultimately let go - you can not control it.

I know this might sound tough but it is true. I wish you all the best. Start trying to say positive things rather than negative. Eg dont say "i worry" and "i cant help it". Say "please God bless them and make them well" and say "what will be will be" "i can relax knowing that God is in control" (sorry not trying to push about God. I am just thinking about what things i say because i used to be a worrier and now i never worry anymore).

All the best and i certainly pray that your family's health improves quickly and that you can be at peace.

Feel blessed that your so caring. Not every person cares like you do about your parents. Feel blessed that they're still all alive. My dad passed away 1/26/06...hardest thing in my life. I went to all of his doc appointments. Took him to radiation and chemo. Stayed with him in the hospital 24/7 the last week of his life. Took him boiled eggs with extra salt when he was coherent. It's all the small things that make a difference. Tell your mom not to be afraid....do some research for her online and help her with the therapy. Be thankful your so close with them. And don't forget to take some time for yourself. A person can only give so much of themself before they break.

You are acting very normal. You love them and you realize how fragile life is. Just continue to help them and love them. When it does come their time to go, you will have no regrets.
